Very late update

I know it's been a couple months since my last update but I find myself in the office with nothing to do, for once. The holidays are finally almost over and I can finally give a sigh of relief. Thanksgiving was quite a hand full with two dogs underfoot trying to trip me up as to get some turkey and whatever else I might have been carrying. The turkey was made was if I remember correctly 11 pounds and I must say I did quiet a nice job for a first try. I did however miss on of the bags that had the head of the turkey in it soooo that got cooked too. Thankfully nothing exploded or leaked so the turkey was fine to eat. After a wonderful mid-day Thanksgiving feast we just laid around, played some video games and took a very nice long nap. About 6:30 or so we packed up some apple pie and headed out the door to one of Mikes commanding officers house, however as we were leaving the parking lot we noticed the clutch was giving to easy so we stopped, checked the fluid and sure enough somewhere along the line we'd sprung a leak. So we ended up not going much of anywhere that evening, spec for more turkey, video games and an early bed time. A few days after Thanksgiving we went and picked out our Christmas tree, then we decorated it I believe it was the weekend after that.

Christmas Eve I had to work...I saw this coming thankfully so Mike and I didn't make any plans. We ended up closing early so I got home in time to spend a little of Christmas Eve with Mike. Christmas morning was a little chaotic with the dogs wanting to trip everything rapped to shreds. The dogs opened their gifts first (in order to keep them busy and away from ours once they were finished) and Mike and myself last. Mike bought me a Nikon 3100 digital camera, good LORD is this thing huge. The pixel resolution blows my mind, you can zoom in on a picture up to x24 and it looks just as clear as zoomed out...unbelievable. I bought Mike a 4 bottle shot dispenser since he's been eyeballing one for a while, a couple movies and some air force double shot glasses he wanted. All and all our large Christmas gift was mutual and the rest we kept small, not trying to over do it for our first Christmas.

Had to work New Years Eve (saw this coming too) so we spent the 30mins before the ball dropped at a local bar right next to my work, we literally just ran over there to have a quick drink and watch the ball drop before heading home. Other than that, New Years Eve was spent at home away from the crazy drivers.

My 21st Birthday was on January 9th and I somehow managed to take off the whole weekend as to insure IF I got a hang over id be able to sleep as long as I wanted lol. Spent most of the morning and early afternoon cleaning the house and making Cello shots in prep for our friends coming over, also of course made a liquor run as to insure nobody would be driving once they started drinking, didn't want anyone needing anything. Went to Outback for dinner on the 8th in order to get food in our stomachs before we started drinking, didn't think it a wise idea to drink on an empty stomach. Mike bought us a beer pong table for my birthday, which has turned out to be a well loved and well used item in our house. People didn't really start showing up till around 10:30-11 because most of my friends were coming from work. Over all we had about 9 people at the house and I ended up not being the one to get sick, my friend Mary isn't a big drinker and she didn't pay to much attention to how much she had had so...I ended up spending a good 2 hours in the bathroom with her at around 5am...Happy Birthday to me lol Had a couple of my girlfriends stay over as not to have people drive home and my house was surprisingly not a mess when I got up the next afternoon lol My friends are pretty respectful like that.

It's obviously Feb. 7th and I should be starting school in just over a week...however Mike and I have decided for me to take one more semester off before returning to school. We have the money put aside for me to attend classes this semester but think if financially unwise with all the bills we currently have. Do to the fact that I received about $900 less in my return this past period we were unable to pay off some of the debt in order for me to get back into school. After our tax return this year we'll have paid off lot more and I'll be able to get back to school full time in the fall. Also instead of me attending an online university I'll be able to attend a local college which will be nice, wasn't really looking forward to all my classes being online.

Aside from some upcoming medical stuff their isn't anything that important else to say. Our dogs are going steer-crazy because of all the snow we've had over the last week, taking them outside is a job for me and my husband so I can't let them out to play till he gets home. Mike and I were shocked that 6 inches of snow could close a base for 4 days, then again down here they don't have salt or snow plows so by the end of the first snow day everything was a gleaming sheet of ice. However the snow is finally melting and now its all mud and water...the dogs love it even more lol my carpet looks like someone decided to have a mud fight in the house....I'm still not sure how my bed and sofa managed to avoid such a fate.

I will post pictures later of the holidays and events above mentioned, that way everybody can keep in touch. Much love to all!!! PS- Mike was awarded a Coin by the Commander & CEM for outstanding Excellence and Performance to the 7th Mission Support Group. He also received a comp day ( a day off without using leave) for their gratitude towards his wonderful work.
