Day three of the kitty comes home! I wake up and we head to Towson to spend the day with Robbie, we get there and set her loose to hide in one of her fav places. Now thing you should know about the Towson dorms is there aren't to many places a cat can hide. She was staying with me here for the day seeing as i couldn't get back to my apartment right away and Bobby (my roommate) was working, (didn't think it was a good idea to leave her completely alone in her new home for that long unattended.
So a short while later i was feeling slightly under the weather but i bit the bullet and ran my errands and finished my belated Christmas shopping. Once i got back to Towson Robbie had to go to work, i was exhausted and feeling completely drained due to my migraine. So after Robbie left for work i went in search of Patches, soooooo i found her in her now normal hiding spot... under the sofa... go figure. I lift the sofa and scoop her up, she fussed a little but begrudgingly let me.
We went into his room and i put her at the foot of the bed and gently pulled the covers over her head, I then climbed into bed after her and lay down for a short nap. I had turned on the TV to make some whitewash noise so i could sleep, so when i half woke to the sound of a soft motor i shrugged it off to the TV, that is till i felt something soft rubbing on my shoulder. I slowly rolled towards the wall to find Patches had crawled all the way up from the foot of the bed to rub on my shoulder! OMG a break through! She wasn't even flinching when i reached out to pet her, yes! So i pulled her a little closer to me (she didn't like that to much, sunk her claws into the sheets till she realized i wasn't picking her up... she's not a fan of that) and pulled the covers back over top of both of us.
We napped on and off for like 4 or 5 hours, i was so ecstatic that she wasn't trying to run away, leave or even attempt to crawl over me as to have a getaway! Needless to say she stayed in the bed till i went to sleep for the night, at which point she let herself out of the room and i drifted off to sleep.
What a wonderful breakthrough!
